You
have the power of necromancy |
|
All ships
(including your own) in the Warp add to your total as a main player in an
encounter. You will see your Warp value as part of your encounter total for
your side whenever encounter points are totaled and you are a main alien.
The ships in the warp do not count when you get compensation or when you are
an ally.

 |
 | The
Warpish's power is used automatically when he is a main player. This happens
when both side's totals are calculated. The total number of ships in the
warp are at this time added to the Warpish's side.
|
|

 |
 |
The Warpish may be zapped after pods are played and when the totals are
calculated (when it's art becomes animated). Depending on what other powers
are used in the game, it may be best to not zap Warpish but instead wait
until it is your turn and play the Mobius Tubes, if you have this pod.

From
the dark side of the Cosmos, we Warpish come to assimilate all other alien
races into our perfect form. Fortunately, there are many non-believing
infidels in the Cosmos for us to convert to our necromantic beliefs.
Regardless of how feeble or how powerful these other races are, they must
all find their place in the Warp. We must bring about mass destruction in
the Cosmos, call for deals to be broken, encourage the Vacuum to use it's
power and ally ourselves with the outnumbered so that a loss on either side
will heave quite an adequate pulp into the Warp. |
 |
There is no
place in the Cosmos more dark and gloomy than the Warp. Try to intentionally
lose on occasion and take sanctuary in the comfort of the Warp. Be sure not
to lose too many of our ships or we lose our power and become as inferior as
the other alien races. |
 |
Whenever the
inferior races call upon us for alliances, we should send as many ships as
possible to accomplish our goals. Not that we require their insignificant
assistance but because that which does kill us, only makes us stronger.
|
 |
Take whatever
measures are needed to prevail when our enemies such as the Void and the
Zombie seem to exist only to diminish our supremacy. We must also be careful
not to over-indulge ourselves when the race of Anti-Matters or Losers make
themselves present in a nearby system. Though they still be inferior races,
they can be quite nuisances if not handled with care. |
 |
All through the
eons of time the one thing the Warpish hate most is the dreaded Mobius
Tubes! We currently have no strategy formulated to save us from this
repulsive artifact. It severely saps our strength; it is the bane of the
Warpish. There is presently no known way to avoid this catastrophic horror
but we are working on it. Perhaps some kind of "Artifact Zap" could save us
from this terrible device. |

The Warpish are
a race of specter-like necromancers. They thrive on the ashes of
destruction, the deaths of forgotten memories and the ectoplasmic slime of
all scum in the Cosmos. Seeing all other alien races turned to the dark side
of the Cosmos is the goal of the Warpish. Try to keep the Warp as empty as
possible when dealing with them. Use ships sparingly and form alliances with
the Warpish as little as possible. |
 |
Try to end the
game as quickly as possible before the Warp gets too full unless you're the
Warrior or another race that becomes greater in the longer games. Other
races such as the Virus, the Anti-Matter and the Losers usually have no
worries against the Warpish. |
 |
Like a
wildfire, the Warpish continue to spread until the entire Cosmos becomes one
big Warp. However, the holy artifact known as the Mobius Tubes will bring
the Warpish to their knees instantly. There are usually two of these present
in a game, If you're lucky enough to possess such a weapon, take great care
not to lose it due to Plagues, compensation and especially to the Warpish!
