You have the power to replicate

You have the power to keep any attack pod you play. After the encounter is finished you have the option of keeping the pod you launched.  This only works for attack pods and not artifact pods.

You can zap Clone after the encounter when he decides to keep an encounter pod. 

Consider N’ing an opponent early in the game or if they have a lot of pods because the more pods the better.

Try to get as many pods as you can from allying with the defense. More pods mean that you have a better chance of having the bigger pods and that you will not be hurt as much by a plague or an N by another player.

Always keep pods after an encounter unless you have four or less pods and they are all bad or if you have a lot of N’s and are going against laser.

Don’t always use your highest pods. Save them for late game. (EX. If you have a 20 and the 40. Always use the 20 that way no one knows you have the 40 and you can spring it on them after both zaps are gone, your 20 has been zapped or on a turn you are going for the win. :-)

Always keep count of the zaps so you know when the both have been played.

I always consider holding off on the zap for at least one turn before I will zap clone this is because you never know you could get lucky and someone else zaps him or he could be holding back on a even bigger pod. This is not something to do after clone wins his third base though.

Try to not ask clone as a defensive ally because give clone more pods is never good policy.

Clone is someone that you should always try to plague early.

Know that clone is strongest in the end game when most players have played all their highest pods. So always try to keep backup to be able to beat clone.
